The Tulip and the Princess
In a garden grand and wide,
Where flowers bloomed on every side,
A princess walked with gentle grace,
A smile of kindness on her face.
One morning by a quiet wall,
She saw a tulip, small and tall.
Its petals drooped, its colors dim,
It seemed to hide, so shy and grim.
“Oh tulip dear,” the princess said,
“Why hang so low your lovely head?”
The tulip sighed, its voice so light,
“I’m not as bright, I’m not as bright.”
The princess knelt and softly spoke,
“You’re special—like each tree and oak.
Your red so deep, your form so true,
The garden wouldn’t shine without you.”
With care and love she stayed each day,
And watched the tulip bloom away.
Its petals danced beneath the sun,
Its sadness gone, its joy begun.
Now side by side, they laugh and grow,
The princess and her tulip know:
That beauty blooms where love is found,
And kindness makes the world go ‘round.
The End
